  • A.S.K MAID CAFE : COFFEE, TEA or ME?

    After a year dormant, our Kuantan members also decided to revive back the Maid Cafe since there are some members willing to contribute some funding to kick-start the project and want it to go on annually. Thus, we finally revive back our Maid Cafe! Hopefully one day we can revive back our Kuantan Coswalk as well!! But let’s get back to our, A.S.K Maid Cafe : Coffee, Tea or Me.

    Date : 4th August 2019 (Sunday)
    Time : 10.00a.m – 6.00p.m
    Venue : Pull A Shot , Kuantan.

    Thanks to the owner of Pull A Shot for giving us an opportunity to work with them again. With more supports, we can do better! We continue with recruitment of Maid/Butler’s in Kuantan however since Kuantan doesn’t have any bigger scale event since 2017, most of the cosplayers have either graduated or studying aboard. Hence we got no choice but to seek assistance from friends whom are not from Kuantan.

    After gathering all the needed Maid/Butlers, we proceed with the photoshoot planning, designs, documentations, printing and marketing.
    Since we have 2 different photoshoot dates this time as well because half of our Maid Teams are in KL, therefore 1 photoshoot sessions will be done in Kuantan, while another will be in KL.

    With the photo sessions done, next we arranged a booth at Cosmic Wave to create more awareness of our cafe ^^

    and we also do a simple promo videoshoot about the cafe to highlight this upcoming Maid Cafe.

    Most of our marketing will be done in facebook via facebook event page. Finishing all the marketing posting, printing and packing of photos, some decorations of the cafe, printing of documents and order chit, we are then finally arrived on the actual event day.

  • COSMIC WAVE 2019

    Date : 21 July 2019.
    Time : 11.00a.m. – 7.00p.m.
    Venue : Kuantan Parade, Kuantan.

    Cosmic Wave is an joint event between Persatuan Hainan Kuantan (Kuantan Hainan Association), KOTASAS, Wawasan Intact Properties Sdn Bhd, A.S.K  and Artwave. It all started when our new Kuantan’s A.S.K members wanted to organize a Cosplay Event in Kuantan, but with only a very limited funding. We then plan  on securing how to secure the remaining fundings for it which lead us to finding partners to collaborate. Thanks to one of our member’s connection with Persatuan Hainan Kuantan, we approached them with an event proposal and details at hand.

    After meeting and providing all the details to the Youth President of Persatuan Hainan for 2019, Mr. Pu Siang Yen, he agreed to work with us for this event. Since the majority funding and sponsorship will be coming from Persatuan Hainan Kuantan, we came to an agreement that this event will be presented by them. From there, Mr. Pu connect us to KOTASAS and Wawasan Intact Properties Sdn Bhd to increase our funding for our event so that we can do and perform better.

    Mr. Pu also then continues to find sponsors and also coordinate their own members from the Youth Division of Persatuan Hainan Kuantan to work with us closely. With this, we have an increase of manpower for the work (since most of our active A.S.K members are not in Kuantan at that moment), though they have less experience on such events, Mr. Pu suggested that we have to guide them through. Mr. Pu also suggested us to have a media conference for a soft launch of this event to create more awareness about this event in Kuantan. As below are some photos and links :

    Moving on with our majority funding and sponsors are covered by Mr. Pu and team, we proceed with our invitation of judges, technical details, preparations of schedule & floor plan, coordination, marketing on the event. Our initial date is around early June however due to the unfortunate passing of the former Sultan of Pahang, Paduka Ayahanda Sultan Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah ibni Al Marhum Sultan Abu Bakar Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mu’adzam Shah, in respect for this unfortunate news, we decided to delay our event until 21 July 2019.

    We then proceed on working with the promo material including posters and videos to promote this event. As below are our promotional video done by Otoko Studio.

    With all the cosplay competitions, cosplay photo competitions, floor plans and booths documentations prepared, we continue to coordinate the trips of our members whom are not from Kuantan by arranging their meals, accommodations and guides when they arrived Kuantan so that they won’t be loss and felt abandoned.

    We are finally then, ready to host the event on 21.07.2019!
    Since our photographer unable to come due to a clash of event which he have promised to cover at Penang, we requested some photographer friends to help us take photos of our event and some photos are also taken from friends that visited our event :

    After the event, we even have a group photo with all the working members & volunteers after the clean up of the event floor and also a group photo with all the other participating teams from Persatuan Hainan Kuantan, performers, judges and helpers ^^

    Some of our members also choose to eat at other place to help us save cost because this appreciation dinner is also under our event budget to treat everyone a nice meal as a token of gratitude for giving their utmost best for our events.

    Right after the dinner, our members whom are not from Kuantan also start traveling back and one of them manage to report safety to us when they resting at R&R. It’s truly a blessing to have such awesome and wonderful friends and comrades!

  • TANABATA MATSURI & ANIME STREET

    Our 2nd official job from Gemini Event for this Tanabata Matsuri & Anime Street…which also got confirmed by the mall management 1 month before the event. It is yet another rush job but since it’s an opportunity, we must work it on it well. Same as previous event, we are responsible for the ACG & Cosplay content and also stage management. Also we help out in the marketing of the events, designs, any documentations, proposals, ad-hoc assistance and setup. Since Gemini Event also have their own Japanese culture content and stage performance, we work closely in details to make sure our content and programs doesn’t overlap.

  • COSCON 2019

    In this event, we are also invited to handle their stage program and management as Coscon is a new organization and this is their first time doing event as well. Which involved invitation of performers, preparing, coordinating and execution. Our logo are not present in the banner because at that time something is going on and so we decided to lay low and continue our task as usuals. It’s a difficult times for us but the team still remain strong & united! With that, they work on to make stage programs and management goes smoothly!

    Date : 30th & 31st March 2019
    Venue : Sunway Velocity, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
    Time : 11.00a.m – 09.00p.m

    The stage programs only until 6p.m but the mall requested all booth to be open until 09.00p.m latest. In this event we also learned some details about how PUSPAL actually works and how we can all work together nicely with the government department. We learned that they also wanted to help us, as long as we all willing to cooperate nicely. As something did happened around that month on March, hence we did received some query from the Government Licensing Department according to the main organizer. We then proceed to figure things out with them and assist them how to go through it.

    With patience, humility and understanding, we settle the problem peacefully and correctly with the government department. They are also quite humble and nice while explaining to use the ruling and working with us so that we won’t get into trouble because it’s not what they want either. They also quite supportive to us in creating entertainment for the younger generations and everyone to enjoy.

    And thus, the event proceed on as usual and continue with your work to setup for the event including coordinating rehearsal for the performers. We also help in dismantling of the events as well.

    With all the happy faces and awesome crowd, we are so very glad that we gone through all the trouble for this event. It’s totally worth it. Even during the dismantling of the event and carpets, our team also snap a photo to show how much they love Family Mart~

  • ATRIA JAPAN FESTIVAL 2019

    Our first official job, hired by Gemini Event to handle their stage management and assist in Cosplay Programs in Atria Japan Festival 2019. The job offers confirmed 3 weeks before the event and therefore left us not much time to prepare, however due to our long-term exposure in such environment, our team come together and go through this with strong determination.

    In this event, we will have to not only work with Gemini Event’s organizer closely, we will also need to comply to the Atria Management’s demands to make sure it won’t give the organizer a hard time. It’s yet another challenge but with our experience, we handle it smoothly. We even manage to meet with one of our Guest Cosplayer back in Kuantan Coswalk 2015! Such coincidence!

    However, due to lack of time, we didn’t manage to arrange any photographer nor videographer for this events. Therefore, our exposure for this events are little but well, it’s a job and it’s our first official job, we make do with everything that we have. Fortunately, the organizer manage to arrange some of her friends to take some photos of the event, with it, we combined our team’s photos and share it here :

  • ROXES X COSMART : HALLOWEEN PARTY!

    Our 2nd Collaboration with Roxes Maid Cafe in the project with Cosmart 2018! It’s really unexpected that we have an opportunity to work with an bigger organization! Special thanks to Cosmart’s organizer for the opportunity!

    In this project, we have Cosmart’s supports since Roxes and us will be doing a Maid Cafe in their event in one of the restaurants in Mall by the name of Swensens. It’s also another opportunity to work with a famous restaurant as well. We proceed with the arrangements of photoshoots, designs and printings as usuals. We doesn’t have videoshoot promo this time due insufficient time and our videographer also can’t make it. However, we did assist in doing the marketing and promo for them in a some events to let more people know about the Maid Cafe going on in Cosmart. It’s a challenge but we made it!
