Figure Outdoor Photoshoot (01.09.2013)

An outdoor figure photoshoot hosted by Kuantan Toys Club. We joined this activity to share and take nice pictures of our collections outside. It’s alittle tired for me as i just finished hosting an event yesterday and continue on this photoshoot in the morning but…it’s fun to see everyone gathered together, share their collections and enjoy taking photos. My tiredness dissapeared before long. Though one of the collectors and also our artist, Nazree, got stung by a bee. We rushed him to clinic. Fortunately it’s not very serious. He just rested for a couple of days and back to normal.

Hatsune Miku 6th Birthday Party

As what i did on year 2012, i decided to make it an annual gathering for Hatsune Miku’s 6th Birthday Party. One of our comrade and friend who is a reporter also help us to publish it at a local newspaper to inform everyone about this gathering. On that day it is also our national day so, it’s kinda a celebration of two events on the same day. It’s the second time doing a birthday gathering for an visual idol publicly, hence, we have activities like quiz and games. Below are the pictures of the newspaper and also some pictures during the events ;

Cosplay Photoshoot at 08.08.2013

Our August photoshoot at Kuantan after the photoshoot session in Pekan. Since A.S.K (Anime Support Kuantan) are founded, the founders decided to do a photoshoot every weekend or at least every month. Hence i start planning and coordinating on those. Weekend are impossible since our cosplayers are far too few, hence we move to monthly photoshoot. Anime Support Kuantan are formed at 16 May 2013

A proper group name are formed on 16 May 2013 after a few discussion between us friends and comrades. Since before Kuantan Coswalk Event, we are a nameless group, we decided to give our group a name to let other’s know what we are doing and what is our group name. With a proper name and group, we hope to be able to contribute some to the community in Malaysia. We are not perfect but we will never stop learning.

Drawn and designed by Sly Kucing, one of our artist and designer.

The founders for Anime Support Kuantan (A.S.K) are :
1) Kin Chia – Organizer
2) Ch Tan – Videographer
3) KH Eng – IT Coordinator and Support
4) Lim Cian (林志钱) – Photographer

We are starting to recruit members to assisted us from now on as hosting event will always need manpower and assistance. We are still lacking of artist, designers, cosplayers, and operation assistance to help the growth of the group.

Event and gathering is a group effort and project. We aim to expand and contribute to the growth of this Community and the environment in our town. The smiles of our friends and comrades, gives us strength to move forward to create a better future!

Cosplay Photoshoot Activity at Pekan (14.07.2013)

We have decided to travel to Pekan, Pahang, Malaysia to have a photoshoot for the cosplayers whom are living there. It is due to because they do not have any transport to travel to Kuantan and alsoinconvenience if they just travel all the way down to Kuantan just for a photoshoot. They won’t have a changing room (except for the public toliet which randomly open or close depending on the mood of the employee there), hence we travel to Pekan, hoping to be able to assist them in photoshoot.

However, due to our inexperience, we are faced with several problem such as we choose and go at the wrong date where most malay people are fasting and no shops are open due to fasting period. The only restaurant available are those fast food restaurants but they are not opening until 10.00a.m. Leaving no choice we directly head for one of the cosplayer house so that 2 of the cosplayers from Kuantan also can prepare their make up and costume there.

We also didn’t set the timing properly and caused 2 volunteered photographer to wait for us for 2 hours. Our schedule are quite messed up on that day but we still manage to get some photos. It’s a pity that we can’t snap some of the cosplayers due to unsuitable timing but we hopefully we can have a photoshoot with them next time.
